A.A. Howard Rites Set At Silverton

PLAINVIEW, June 13,1957-

Funeral services for A.A. Howard, 61 year-old Briscoe County farmer, will be held at 4p.m. Friday in the Silverton Methodist Church. The Rev. James Patterson, pastor, will officiate.

Howard, who moved to Silverton in 1945 from Olton, died about 10 a.m. at his home, eight miles southeast of Silverton, following an extended illness. He previously had lived in Olton 21 years.

He was born in Overton County,Tenn,. and was a member of the Methodist Church.

The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in Lorenzo Cemetery under the direction of Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter Mrs. James Cannon, Edmonson; three sons, Ray, Tucumcari; Joe, Silverton; Sgt. Jimmy, with the U.S. Army at Ft. Sill, Okla.; three brothers, Q.S.,1916 8th St. Lubbock; G.G., Austin; P.P., Big Spring; three sisters, Mrs. S. Miller, Verden, Okla.;Mrs. Ivan Harris, Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. Hiram Guy, Abilene and two grandchildren. { Lubbock Morning Avalanche 14 June 1957}
