Antonia’s parents, Vaclav and Marie (Kasparek) Sembauer, came to the United States from Bohemia prior to Antonia's birth in New Prague on September 24, 1881.
On May 11, 1903 Antonia married Frank Wohnoutka in New Prague, MN. He was born in Kardasova Recice, Bohemia and came to the United States about July 1892.
Antonia and Frank’s original homestead was on 40 acres of land located on the south side of the road about 6 1/4 mile north and 3/4 miles west of Redwood Falls. From Bechyn, this would be 2 1/2 miles south, 1/2 mile west, 1 mile south and 3/4 mile west. Antonia and Frank later moved to an 80 acre partial of land which later became Emil and Gladys Wohnoutka’s place. From there, Antonia and Frank moved to a 160 acre partial of land which later became Edward (Eddy) and Lillian Wohnoutka's place. The 80 acres is on the North side of the road 2 1/2 miles south and 1/4 mile east of Bechyn. The 160 acres is on the east side of the road 2 1/2 miles south, 1/2 miles west and 3/4 miles south of Bechyn.
After leaving the farm, Antonia and Frank moved to a house at 120 E Wyoming St, in Redwood Falls. As they grew older, they sold their house and lived with Edward (Eddy) and Lillian Wohnoutka. Not long after that, Antonia’s husband, Frank, moved to facilities that were better able to take care of him. Later, Antonia moved into a separate house on the 160 acre farm where Eddy and Lillian lived and eventually resided at the Franklin Nursing Home in Franklin, Minnesota.
Antonia was survived by 9 of her children: Mary (Frank) Chan of Renville, Frank (Theresa) Wohnoutka of Wing, North Dakota, Joe (Marie) Wohnoutka of Bird Island, William (Helena) Wohnoutka of Olivia, Emil (Gladys) and Edward (Lillian) Wohnoutka of North Redwood (south of Bechyn), George (Gertrude) Wohnoutka of San Jose, California, Cecelia (Walter) Wlock of Downey, California, and Lillian (Joseph) Fischer of Norwalk, California. She was also survived by 46 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Her son Miloyd (Mike) died at the young age of 21 in an automobile accident.
Antonia’s husband, Frank, passed away on December 18, 1956. They are buried at St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery in Bechyn, Minnesota.
