Clarence Albert Martin married Eva Mae Tucker in 1935. Together they had one son and one daughter, Wyman and Joan. After the death of his wife, Eva Mae, he then married Margaret A. Whitson in 1974. They had no children together. After Margaret's death, he married Tommie Lou Bozeman Wisham in 1986 and lived in Winfield, AL. Upon his death, his body was laid to rest by his first wife, Eva Mae.

Clarence was a charter member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Green Rock (Colona), IL and was a former church treasurer. He was a member and held various offices at United Auto Workers Local 434. He also was a 32nd-degree Mason.

Clarence retired in 1974 from John Deere Planter in Moline, IL where he was a tool crib attendant. After his retirement, he enjoyed creating crafts from shells he picked up on the Florida Gulf beaches. He also enjoyed working with wood and made many items for family and friends.
