Marie married Edward "Ed" Lolley on October 27, 1945. Together they had four children; Pat, Ralph, Judy and Linda.
Both Marie and Ed were born and raised in Marion County, Alabama. In the early 1950's they moved to Moline, Illinois where Ed worked for John Deere for 9 years. After that time, they moved back to Marion County, Alabama.
Ed worked at 3M Company for 29 years while Marie cared for the home and children. Their youngest daughter, Linda, was born with severe health problems and required a great deal of attention. Linda passed away at the age of 20.
Marie always had a smile for everyone and laughter came easily. She loved to enter sweepstakes, especially the Publisher's Clearing House. She made the best pineapple upside down cake I've ever ate.
