Born in Piney township February 11, 1878, she was the daughter of James A.
and Lavina Over Dixon.
She lived In Clarion the past 63 years and was married June 28, 1895 to
Frank L. Crooks. She was a member of the First Methodist church, Clarion,
Order of the Eastern Star and a charter member of the latter organization,
Her husband Is a retired Clarion businessman.
Surviving are her husband; five daughters, Mrs. Ruth C. Faloon, Flashkill,
N. Y.; Mrs. Francis Hazelton, San Marlno, Calif.; Mrs. Martha Quarles,
Huntington, W Va.; Mrs. Ethel Hutchinson. Penn Wynne [??], and Mrs. Blanche
Hare, Altoona; a son, Robert of Clarion; ten grandchildren; a great
grandchild; three sisters, Mrs. James Faloon, Clarion; Mrs. Effie Arner of
Clarion; Mrs. O. E. Barto, Sligo; four brothers, W. O. Dixon of New
Bethlehem; H. E. Dixon of Sligo; R. C. Dixon of Sheridan; and D. E. Dixon
of Sharon.
The body will be taken to the Jenkins funeral home and later removed to the
family residence.
