Chico Enterprise, Tuesday, September 8, 1942: "Mrs. O. Anderson Called by Death. Mrs. Ollie May Anderson, 56, beloved pioneer resident of this community, died this morning at her home, 963 Olive street, after an illness of several weeks. Mrs. Anderson was born at Dayton, Calif., February 23, 1886 and was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Gray, pioneer ranchers of the Dayton district. Her husband, the late Charles O. Anderson, preceded her in death January 26, 1929. Anderson was a Spanish War veteran. Mrs. Anderson was a member of the Homesteaders. She is survived by four children: John Anderson of Chester, Calif.; Pvt. Harry Anderson, of Ozark, Alabama; Mrs. W.D. Betty, Grass Valley; Mrs. E.J. Ollivier, of Redmond, Washington, the following brothers and sisters, A.V. Gray of Chico; Jesse Gray of Chico; E.C. Gray of Prattville; D.I. Gray of Westwood, and Mrs. Edna Gilbert of Oakland, and 10 grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Nugent funeral service."

Chico Enterprise, Friday, September 11, 1942: "Services For Mrs. Anderson To Be Tuesday. Friends are invited to attend the funeral services Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock in the Nugent funeral home for the late Mrs. Ollie May Anderson, old-time resident of Chico and native of Dayton, who died at her home last Tuesday. Rev. Henry L. Searle, of the First Christian church will officiate. Interment will follow in the family plot of the Dayton Cemetery."

Chico Enterprise, Tuesday, September 15, 1942: "Services Set for Mrs. O. Anderson. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at the Nugent Funeral chapel for the late Mrs. Ollie May Anderson, resident of this community all of her life. Mrs. Anderson died at her home, 963 Olive street, after a long illness. Rev. Henry L. Searle, of the First Christian church will officiate at the services. Interment will follow in the Dayton cemetery."

Chico Enterprise, Wednesday, September 16, 1942: "Rites Held for Mrs. Anderson. Many friends assembled this morning at 10 o'clock at the Nugent Funeral chapel for the services of Mrs. Ollie May Anderson, widely known resident of this community who died at her home on Olive street. The casket and chapel were banked with many beautiful floral offerings. Rev. Henry L. Searle, of the First Christian church, officiated at the servies. David Wurschmidt sang, `The Lord's Prayer' and `God Will Take Care of You.' The pallbearers were: Fabian Jenson, Albert Snider, F.S. Boucher, James Collins, Michael Fortier and Henry Fortier. Interment followed in the family plot of the Dayton cemetery."
