MRS. ALICE BENHAM DIES

Malinda Alice Wardrip daughter of John and Mary Catherine(Jupin)Wardrip, was born July 30, 1870, died Jan. 12, 1944.

She was united in marriage in 1890 to George Pressley Benham who preceded her in death seven years. To this union 13 children were born four having passed away.

She was converted when 16 years of age and was a Charter Member of Bethel Methodist Church. She was a faithful Christian,a devoted wife, a kind and loving mother and good neighbor.

She leaves to mourn her passing nine children: Mrs. Hattie Chappell, Irvington, Ky., James Benham, Muldraugh, Ky., Lloyd Benham, Evansville, Ind., Paul Benham and Barzil Benham, Louisville, Ky, Mrs Ethel Harrington, Mrs. Nellie Beck. Mrs. Roxie Brown and Peter Benham all of Brandenburg; 26 grandchildren and one great grand child; one half brother and one half sister, and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral was conducted by Rev. C. E. Peters, Jan. 13, at Bethel Methodist Church, burial in church cemetery.
