Ruby Parsons, 87, of Cedar St., Kingsport, passed away at her home on October 26, 2012.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Parsons, a daughter, Linda Parsons, her parents, Charlie and Myrtle Caldwell Rigsby, five sisters and two brothers.
Ruby is survived by two sons, Junior Parsons and Kenneth Parsons, both of Kingsport; five grandchildren, Lester Parsons, Melinda Parsons, Kenneth Woody, Randall Woody, and Steven Woody; five great-grandchildren, Beth and Mitzi Parsons, Eli Rainer, Joshua and Brandi Woody; four sisters, Mable Garst of Blountville, Beulah Briggs and husband, Fred of Unicoi, Carrie Coggins and husband, Joel of Jonesborough, and Irene Ford of Kingsport; two brothers, Bill Rigsby of Kingsport, and Charles Roy Rigsby of Gray; and several nieces and nephews.
A special mention to Mrs. Parsons' great-grandchildren, Beth and Mitzi Parsons, and Eli Rainer who she was very close to and were very special to her.
At Mrs. Parson's request, she will be cremated and there will be no visitation.
