GRAY - Mamie Rigsby Arnold, 74, of Gray, Tenn., went home to be with the Lord at 3:35 a.m. Friday (Feb. 3, 2006) at Greystone Healthcare Center following an extended illness.
Born in Washington County, Tenn., on April 14, 1931, a daughter of the late Charles and Myrtle Rigsby, she has resided in this area her entire life.
Mrs. Arnold was a member of Pilgram's Rest Baptist Church.
She will be remembered as a precious angel sent from heaven. A loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.
Survivors include her husband, Winfield P. Arnold of the home; three daughters, Judy Garland and husband, Robert of Gray, Connie Norton of Kingsport, and Angela Patrick of Gray; five grandchildren.
A celebration of her homecoming will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the chapel with the Rev. James P. Hoskins officiating.
Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memory Gardens.
Arrangements are under the direction of East Lawn Funeral Home.
