Mr. Adrain Davis, son of the late Mr. Samuel Scott Davis and Mrs. Rachel Adline Russell, was born May 9, 1908, in Green County and departed this life on Sunday, June 12,1994, at the Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. He was 86 years, one month and three days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member and deacon of the Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church of the Nolyn Association. He was a member of the Louisiana Colonels and also an honorary director of the Green County Farm Bureau. He united in marriage to Miss Veechie Gentry on April 17, 1929, who survives. To this union were born one daughter and two sons: Bonnie Ruth Tucker of Louisville and Adrain Morris Davis of Greensburg. He was preceded in death by James Robert Davis on March 13, 1938. He is also survived by two brothers: Rollin Johnny Davis of Louisville and Boyce "Cutler" Davis of Greensburg; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. The funeral services for Mr. Adrain Davis were conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, at the Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church of the Nolyn Association with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. John Davidson and Rev. Mike Willingham officiated. Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home was in charge of the service. Pallbearers were Thomas Tucker, Keith Davis, Jason Young, Maurice Tucker, John Davis and Daniel DeWitt.
