Funeral services were conducted at 10:00 am Sun. 13 Jun [1971] at the Foster-Jones Funeral Home in Greensburg for Mrs. Ethel Davis Pierce, who died 11 Jun at 3:45 pm at the Shipp Nursing Home in Campbellsville following a long illness. Services were conducted by Rev. F.T. Peppers and Rev. William Taylor with burial in the Austin Thompson Cem. Mrs. Pierce lived in the Pierce Community in Green Co. She was a member of the Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church. Survivors include 5 brothers, Bill, Adrain and Boyce Davis all of Rt. 2, Greensburg; Cecil and Johnny Davis both of Louisville; Three sisters: Mrs. Orpha Houk, Rt. 2, Greensburg; Mrs. Stella Moran, Louisville and Mrs. Pauline Wisdom, Rt. 4, Greensburg. Also several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were: Roger Davis, Fred Moran, Chester Gordon Davis, Buford and Dencil Davis and L.R. Tucker.
