son of Robert W & Mary Kessler Davis.

Son of Robert W. and Mary Davis, he was born February 17, 1867, departed this life August 6, 1945, age 78 years, 5 months, and 20 days. He was married to Rachel Adline Russell, April 1, 1892 and to this union was born thirteen children, two of them dying in infancy, Nettie Ester and Earnest, those surviving are, Naomi Orpha, Martha Ethel, Odus, Ulis, Elis Adrian, Geneva, Pauline, Rollin, and Boyce all of Green county. Cecil and Stella of Louisville. There are 21 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He leaves two brothers, Daniel G. and William Hardy both of Green county. He professed faith in Christ, August 10, 1894 and joined the Separate Baptist church at Oak Grove, Green county. Remaining a faithful member until departure. Death closed a period of 51 years of faithful service to his Master. He was a trustee in the church for over forty years. For 53 years he and his faithful companion trod life's pathway together sharing each others joys and sorrows, building a home surrounded in a Christian influence.
