Theresa S. Marcisofsky, 84, of Rome, passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2010, at Rome Memorial Hospital. She was born on February 20, 1926, in Rome, the daughter of Leo and Nora Spellicy Schuler. She attended Rome schools. On August 7, 1953, Theresa was united in marriage to Bernard L. Marcisofsky, in St. Peter's Church. Mr. Marcisofsky passed away on October 17, 1980.

Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and John Miller, of Rome, and Susan and Chuck Canoy, of Williamsburg, VA; four sons and a daughter-in-law, Bernard and Darlene Marcisofsky, of Laurel, MD, Robert Marcisofsky, Lawrence Marcisofsky, and David Marcisofsky, all of Rome; six grandchildren, Nora and Chris Hadlock, John, James and Stephen Miller, and Ryan and Evan Canoy; four great-grandchildren, C.J., Gabriella, Logan and Caleb; a brother and sister-in-law, Winston and Nancy Schuler, of Florida; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Ronald Murphy, of Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. Theresa was predeceased by four sisters, Mary, Florence, Helena and Connie; and three brothers, Leo, Donald and Larry.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 18, 2010, at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, at 12:15 p.m., and a Mass of the Christian Burial at St. Peter's Church at 1:00 p.m., where the Rev. Philip A. Hearn will officiate. Interment will take place in St. Peter's Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
