Ocala - Winston W. Schuler, "Winnie", 79, of Ocala, FL, passed on Monday, June 11, 2012 at Legacy House, Ocala after a long illness. He was born in Rome, New York in 1933 and was the son to the late Leo and Nora (Spellicy) Schuler. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Korea as a medic. He then became employed with the Revere Copper Company of Rome, NY and served for over 35 years before retiring in 1990. Winnie was a life member of The V.F.W. the past 20 years with the Angela Santos VFW Post #4781, Ocala and also a member of the Moose Lodge of Ocala. He was the last of nine siblings, five sisters and three brothers. Winnie is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Nancy; children, Lana N. Wehnke of Rome, NY, Winston E. Schuler of Ocala FL, Patricia Schoff of Rome, NY, Pamela Schuler of Rome, NY, Christine Stutz of Ocala, FL and Tracy Shaffer of Melbourne, FL; eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held in the TimberRidge Chapel of Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 9695 SW 110th St. Ocala, on Thursday, June 14th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 15th, at 8:30 a.m. at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Hwy 200, Ocala. Memorial Donations may be given to the Alzheimer's Association , 378 CenterPointe Circle, Suite 1280, Altamonte Springs, FL 32701.
