Oller
Henry Oller, 76, of 211 Thomas St., Roxana, died at 1:05 a.m. today in Wood River Township Hospital.
He had been in ill health for 14 years and a patient in the hospital since Wednesday.
Mr. Oller, a retired farmer, had lived at Morrisonville before moving to Roxana in 1952.
He was born in Christian County, February 20, 1888, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Oller.
Survivors are his widow, the former Vera Nussman, whom he married in 1911, at Hillsboro; five daughters, Mrs. Alvera Lawrence, Roxana; Mrs. Jean Carson and Mrs. Peggy Buehlman, Alton; Mrs. Mary Wheelan, Gary, Indiana and Mrs. Shirley Brangenberg, Charlotte, Michigan, six sons, Willis, Morrisonville; Oscar, Wood River; Henry L., and Karl, Roxana, and Jack and Robert, South Roxana; two brothers, John, Peoria, and Charles, Palmer; a sister, Mrs. Etta Walcher, Litchfield, 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, two sisters, a brother, and a son, preceded him in death.
The body is at Marks Mortuary where services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. William Rice, pastor of Roxana Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Valhalla Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Friday.

Following services Saturday at 1 p.m. in Marks Mortuary, Wood River, the body of Henry Oller was taken to Valhalla Memorial Park for burial.
The Rev. William Rice, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, Roxana, officiated.
Pallbearers were Edward Plotner, Eldon Bowler, Charles Palek, Kenneth McMahon Lowell Bush and Hudie Miller.
Note: Henry Oller was the youngest of 11 children of George and Sarah Oller. "Hank", as he was always called, had no middle name.
Hank was a tall, slim man standing over 6"feet 4'inches tall and was very strong.
