Mrs. Chas. Wempen, Longtime Resident Of Raymond, Dies
Mrs. Hulda Ann Wempen, wife of Charles Wempen of Raymond, died in Hillsboro hospital, Friday night at 9:30, after a long illness.
Funeral services were Monday afternoon at the Hough funeral home in Raymond. Rev. Kenneth DeWall officiated. Interment was in Raymond cemetery. She was a daughter of George and Sarah Carmon Oller and was born on a farm near Raymond on August 12, 1877. At the time of her demise she was aged 86 years, seven months and one day.
Her marriage to Charles Wempen of the Raymond vicinity was at Hillsboro, January 19, 1917. They retired from the farm and moved into Raymond in 1953.
Surviving with her husband are three brothers, Charles Oller of Morrisonville, John of Kilbourne, Illinois and Henry of Wood River and a sister, Mrs. Etta Walcher of Litchfield. Preceding her in death were three brothers and a sister.
