Mankato- Delores M. Goettl, 61, former owner and operator of Ra Del's Gift Shop, died Saturday, April 24, 1993, at Shand's Hospital, Gainesville, Fla., of complications following surgery.
Memorial services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Catholic Church, the Rev. Francis Kunz officiating.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m., with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service, Wednesday at Landkamer's Johnson Boman Mortuary, Mankato.
Mrs. Goettl was born February 7, 1932, to Alfred C. and Clara (Hiddle) Fjeld in Zahl, N.D. She attended school in Mankato and graduated from Good Counsel Academy. She married Bernard A. "Bernie" Goettl May 8, 1951, at St. John's Catholic Church, Mankato. She owned and operated Ra Del's Gift Shop in the Bell Mar Mall, Mankato. She lived in Mankato most of her life and wintered with her husband in Lakeland, Fla., for the past few years. She was a member of St. John's Altar Society and past president of VFW Post 950 Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking and crocheting.
She is survived by her husband; two sons and their wives, Bradley and Gail Goettl of Mankato and Brian and Jean Goettl of St. Clair; a daughter and her husband, Vicki and Randy Weingartz of Mankato; her mother-in-law, Marie Goettl of Mankato; two brothers, Paul Holbrook of Janesville and Cyril Fjeld of Mankato; three sisters, Marcella Button of Mankato, Mabel Krenik of LaCenter and Alma Alsmenson of Nevada; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nine brothers- and sisters-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, a sister and two brothers. Mankato Free Press
