Our hearts were saddened Wednesday, May 3rd, when the death angel flew into the home and called away our dear mother and grandmother, Mrs. Lottie Bishop, of Hearne, Texas. She had been in ill health for some time but took worse on Wednesday, April 26th and passed away one week later.

Lottie Woodall was born December 20, 1869 and has lived in Robertson County practically all her life. When 17 years of age she was married to Elisha M. Bishop and to this union was born 16 children, 5 of which preceded her in death.

She accepted Christ when a young woman of 18 and has lived a consecrated christian life, trying to follow in her Saviour's footsteps and rearing her children in the way the Lord has commanded.

She is survived by her husband and 11 children, Walter, Collie, Willie and Mrs. Myrtle Spencer of Hearne; Lindon and Mrs. Minnie Hancock of Elliott; Mrs. Nannie Byrd of Franklin; Mrs. Florence Martin of Midland, Texas; D. F. Bishop of Richmond; Ollie Bishop of Baytown; and Mrs. Joe Glover of Elgin; 54 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

The funeral services were held at the family home at Hearne at 4:00 o'clock Thursday afternoon and interment was made in the Elliott Cemetery under the direction of the Heartfield Funeral directors. Pallbearers were grandsons of the deceased. All children were present for the funeral except two daughters who were unable to attend on account of illness.
