He was a retired farmer and carpenter, and was a resident of La Crosse all of his life. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, La Crosse.
Survivors: son, Robert, La Crosse; daughters, Charlet Klein, Minnie Stejskal, Bertha Oliverius, Esther Schuckman and Vernita Serpan, all of La Crosse, Jenny Pozalek, Russell, Mary Herman, Colorado Springs, Colo.; brother, Steve, Hutchinson; sisters, Abbie Weber, Oakley, Rose Schuckman, La Crosse; 22 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, Father George Mueller. Burial in the La Crosse Cemetery. Arrangements by Janousek Funeral Home, La Crosse.
