Burlington, Colo. -- Applonia Weber, 94, died Friday, June 7, 1996 at Grace Manor Rest Home, Burlington. She was born Nov. 19, 1901 in Liebenthal, to John and Mary (Binder) Schafer.
She was a homemaker and most recently had lived in Burlington for six years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joseph's Altar Society, both of Oakley, and was a Golden Star Mother of the Oakley VFW.
She married Frank Weber June 10, 1919 in Ellis.
Survivors include six sons, Adolph, Salina, Rudy, LaCrosse, Charlie and Ronald, Goodland, Bennie, St. Francis, Delbert, Las Vagas; four daughters, Viola Weiser, Oakley, Florina Schuster, Grainfield, Mary Garnhart, Limon, Colo., and Esther Laverenz, Burlington; one sister, Rosie Schuckman, LaCrosse; 45 grandchildren, 111 great-grandchildren and 23 great-great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and two sons, Willie and Leonard.
Services are 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Oakley, with the Rev. Roger K. Meitl officiating; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation is from 3 to 9 p.m. today at Koster Funeral Home, Oakley. There will be a vigil service at 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials to the St. Joseph Catholic School in Oakley.
