Born April 13, 1896 at La Crosse, he married Rosslie Legleiter May 5, 1919 at Liebenthal. She died Nov. 16, 1967.
He was a retired farmer and lifetime resident. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, American Legion, Knights of Columbus, all of La Crosse; veteran of World War I.
Survivors include sons: Johnny, La Crosse; Joseph B., Tallahassee, Fla.; Albert, Kansas City; Elmer Eugene, Florence; Richard, Paris, Tenn.; daughters: Mrs. Ida Schuckman, Rush Center; Mrs. Blanche Doonan, Great Bend; Mrs. Caroline Decker, Solomon; Mrs. Dorothy Sanders, Thousand Oaks, Calif.; brothers: Joe, Pete, Henry, Jake , all of La Crosse; Steve, 906 North Hendricks, Hutchinson; sisters: Mrs. Rosea Schuckman, La Crosse; Mrs. Anna Schuckman, Arnold; Mrs. Appolona: Weber, Oakley; 35 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren.
