New Town—The funeral will be Friday at 2 in the Bethel Lutheran Church, New Town, for Mrs. Clara Estenson, 88, New Town, who died Tuesday in a Minot hospital where she had been a patient five weeks.
Rev. A. E. Loken will officiate and burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot, at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. Five grandsons, Marland, Clare, Royce and Roger Aubol, DeMar Sather and a nephew, Clifford Rostvedt, will be pallbearers.
A family service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Williamson Funeral Home, New Town. Reviewal at the church will be prior to the service only.
Mrs. Estenson was born at Climax, Minn., Feb. 4, 1878, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hans Bangen. She married Helmer Estenson at Climax, Aug. 11, 1906, and they lived there until homesteading in Big Bend Township, Mountrail County, near Sanish in 1917. He died in 1945 and she moved into New Town in 1962.
She was a member of the Bethlel Church, American Lutheran Church Women and the Mary Martha Circle.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. C. H. (Ramona) Sather, Vancouver, Wash., and Mrs. M. H. (Irene) Aubol, New Town; a sister, Mrs. Laura Stromsmoe, Etzikom, Alta.; three brothers, Anton and Theodore Bangen, both of Minot, and Helmer Bangen of Climax; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
