Marie V. McGrath, 90, of Albia died Monday, Aug. 29, 1994, at the Monroe County Hospital in Albia. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Rev. Thomas Doyle officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Albia.

She was born Feb. 11, 1904, in Melrose to Joseph P. and Margaret O'Brien Scieszinski. She married Martin Edward McGrath April,17,1928, in Melrose. He died July 9, 1982. She had lived in the Melrose and Albia area all of her life and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and had been a resident of Oakwood Estates for several years.

She is survived by a son, Paul of Albia; two grandsons and a great-granddaughter; two brothers, Leo of Albia and Tom of Melrose.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Margaret McGrath, Josephine Feehan and Kathryn Kitterman; and two brothers, Paul and Pat.

Visitation is open at the Gilbert Funeral Home with a vigil service at 7 p.m. Tuesday.Memorials has been established to the Leisure Lounge.
