Mrs. Hattie E. Smith
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday for Mrs. Hattie E. Smith in the Black Ash Methodist church. Interment was in the Black Ash cemetery.
Mrs. Smith, 84, lifelong resident of the Black Ash community, died at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Crawford County Infirmary after an illness of several years.
Approximately one year ago Mrs. Smith suffered a broken hip in a fall and had been confined to her bed since that time.
A daughter of the late John and Eva Dille, who was born in Venango county April 5, 1867. She was married to Henry Smith who died several years ago. She was a member of the Black Ash Methodist church.
She is survived by one son, Floyd H., of Black Ash, seven grandchildren. One son preceded her in death.
