George Alfred Dille married Alice Rose Platt on Jan 3, 1883. They had four children: Clara Pearl (Thayer), LeRoy I., Donald Alfred and Frank.

George A. Dille Dies at Seneca

George A. Dille died at the late home at Seneca at 11 o'clock last night.

The deceased was born at New Vernon, Mercer county, the son of the late James and Elizabeth Dille. He removed to Seneca in 1882 and was united in marriage to Miss Alice Platt one year later. He had been a member of the Presbyterian church for 35(?) years and superintendent of the Sunday school for 24 years.

He is survived by his widow and the following children:

Mrs. William Thayer of West 2nd st., Oil City; LeRoy and Donald of Seneca. Three grandsons also survive with the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. John Swager, Stockton, Mo.; Mrs. Mary White, Midgeville, Pa.; Mrs. Effie Robinson, Brockton, N. Y.; Mrs. Hattie Smith, Meadville; and Lewis and Curtis, Cooperstown.

Funeral services will be announced later.

Note: The gravestone shows a birth year of 1855. However, George was listed as 8 months old in the 1850 census with his parents in Sandy Lake Twp, Mercer Co, PA. The census was conducted in July of 1850. His death certificate lists his birth date as Sep 12, 1854. Therefore, a date of Sep 12, 1849 has been surmised.
