Mrs. Lewis O. Knutson Rites Will Be Held On Saturday
Funeral services for Mrs. Lewis Knutson, 79, who died Wednesday at Wllsworth Hospital, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in the Union had been a patient .
Emma O. Knutson the daughter of Bernt and Gertrude Brotten Evenson, was born Nov. 28, 1887 at New Richland, Minnesota.
She received her education in rural schools in that area, and on Jan. 15, 1907 was married to Lewis O. Knutson.
They moved to Iowa Falls in 1963 from Des Moines, where they had made their home since 1939. She was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church in Iowa Falls. She had been a member of the Idle House Nursing Home in Alden for the past several years.
Survivors include: her husband; two sons, Ole Knutson of Minneapolis, Kenneth Knutson of Des Moines; three daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Nora) Einertson and Mrs. Hans (Lorene) Lovig and Mrs. Henry (Ethel) Paulsen; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Palma Sigurdson, and one stepson, Carl Knutson.
37 grandchildren, 97 great grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren; tow brothers, Ole and George Evenson of Albert Lea, and a sister, Mrs. Harry (Gene) Lee of Glenville, Minnesota.
Preceding her in death were her parents; a daughter, Verna Hendrickson; a stepson, Lawrence Knutson; three sisters and three brothers.
