Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Lutheran Church for Ole
Evenson 73. A resident of Albert Lea the last 55 years, Mr. Evenson dies at 10:30 a.m.
Friday at his home from a heart attack.
He was born may 7, 1896, at New Richland, the son of Bernt and Gertie Evenson.
He served with the Army during World War I and from 1923-1927 was with the
U.S. Marine Corp.
He married Cora Hovland Nov. 23, 1927, at Central Freeborn Lutheran. She
survives. A son, Marvin G. Evenson, lives at Rt. 1 and five grandchildren survive.
A sister, Harry (Gena) Lee lives in Northwood, Iowa. A brother, George Evenson
lives at 1017 Abbott.
Mr. Evenson was preceded in death by his mother in 1940, his father in 1921; three
brothers-Arthur, Ben and Melvin; four sisters-Mrs. Emma Knutson, Mrs. Betsy Olson,
Mrs. Mabel Olson, and Mrs. Elsie Dreier.
He was educated in New Richland schools and for 35 years was employed by
Morlea Dairy. Following his retirement he worked at Lakeshore Green House.
He was a member of First Lutheran Church, First Lutheran Men's Club and the
American Legion.
The Rev. Arvid E, Bidne will officiate at services. Burial will be at Lakewood
Cemetery. Friends may call at the Bonnerup Funeral Chapel.
