She and her husband and six children moved from Missouri to Colorado by covered wagon and mule team. They arrived in Weld County near Eaton the fall of 1887, a bad winter. The rest of the children were born in Weld County near Eaton, Colorado. She died at her home in Greeley, Colorado, January 14, 1928, age 69 of influenza and pneumonia.
Her serenity, open smile, her gentleness with all and tolerance of our ways made her a darling sweet mother.
Mary Louisa and George Riley had 13 children, all members of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. The first six born in Missouri and Illinois, the rest born in Weld County, Colorado.
