Ruby went to school at Wyatt and Campion Academy in Colorado, and Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska.

She and her husband, Walter, moved to Merrill, Oregon and lived there until Walter's death in 1958. In 1960, Ruby returned to Greeley where she lived until her death in 1966 except for one year spent in California.

Ruby was very active in her church. She loved her church, her Lord and was always striving to make others happy. She was very unselfish. She would rather do for others than herself. Ruby had no children, but many friends.
