Mrs Beatty was born Adeline McCreight, near Ripley, Ohio, May 1, 1850 and married Isaiah Beatty on May 18, 1870. They came to State Center in May 1897, and Mr Beatty died here on June 18, 1917.
Mrs Beatty had been in failing health for more than a year and confined to her bed the past month.
For more than twenty years she practiced nursing in this community as a practical nurse, in being "grandmother" to nearly three hundred babies.
She is survived by two daughters: Mrs W.H. Daniels of LaMoille and Miss Bessie Beatty. A son William died in infancy. Nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church with Rev Fred A Smith in charge. Burial was in Hillside cemetery.
