Mrs Beatty had been in failing health for more than a year and confined to her bed the past month.
For more than twenty years she practiced nursing in this community as a practical nurse, in being "grandmother" to nearly three hundred babies.
She is survived by two daughters: Mrs W.H. Daniels of LaMoille and Miss Bessie Beatty. A son William died in infancy. Nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church with Rev Fred A Smith in charge. Burial was in Hillside cemetery.
