Passed away Saturday, March 22, 1997, at home in the loving arms of his family. Age 81 years. Paul was born April 15, 1915 to Joseph and Anna (Tietz) Amman. He married Elizabeth Ann Finn July 18, 1945. She preceded him in death March 1995. He is survived by five sons and seven daughters, Dolores Amman, Monica and Chuck Carr, Rita and Tom Adelberg and Paula and Rob Kopchitz of Maple Grove Twp., Martin and Julie Amman and Vic and Colleen Amman of Chesaning; Gil and Terri Amman of Brant; Sue and Gary Hobson of Fife Lake; Connie and Randy Frost of Perry, Mich, John Amman and Sakae Igarashi of Brooklyn, NY: Teresa and Frank Stastny of Spotsylvania, Va; and Mike and Teri Amman of Fullerton, Calif.; 24 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Edith Labick of Flint, Mich., and Josephine Cosco of Utica, NY., one brother, Richard Amman of Spring Green, Wis.; and a special pet, Stan. Paul was a member of theThird Order Franciscans, Holy Name Society, VFW Post 6579, a past member of the Diocesan Council of Saginaw, Parish council of St. Michael Catholic Church of Maple Grove, and a veteran of WWII. He retired from General Motors in 1977. He had also farmed. The funeral Mass will take place Wednesday, March 26, 1997 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michaels Catholic Church Maple Grove, Mich. Third Order Franciscans will pray rosary 4:00 p.m. Monday, there will be scripture service at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday. Friends may call at the Walker-Martin Funeral Home, 316 W. Broad St., Chesaning, Mich after 1:00 p.m. Monday and all day Tuesday and then at the church after 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
