Brother Armand Theodore Amman, CSC, 78, of Little Company of Mary Health Facility, San Pierre, and formerly of South Bend, died Saturday at the health facility. He was born Sept 4, 1913, in Maple Grove, Mich. Surviving are two sisters, Edith Labick of Flint, Mich and Josephine Cosco of Whitesboro, NY and two brothers, Paul F. of Montrose, Mich and Richard Amman of Spring Green, Wis. Brother Amman entered the Congregation of Holy Cross on Feb 1, 1933, made temporary profession of vows Feb. 2, 1934, and took final vows Feb 2, 1935. He began his ministry at Father Gibault School for Boys, Terre Haute, Ind., in 1937. Except for periods of study at St. Edwards University, Austin, Texas, from 1954-1957, and at Loyola Medical Center, Chicago, in 1977, he served at schools in California, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois and Missouri. He served as associate chaplain at Memorial Hospital, South Bend, and St. Marys Hospital, Saginaw, Mich. Services will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Chapel at Holy Cross Brothers Center. Burial will be at 9 a.m. in St. Joseph Cemetery at the Brothers center. Friends may call from 3:30 p.m. Tuesday until services at the Brothers Center Chapel. Hickey Funeral Home, 17131 Cleveland Road, is in charge of arrangements
