MRS. ANNA AMMAN PASSES AT 77 Mrs. Anna Amman, 77, of 838 Church St., Chesaning, passed on Sunday, Aug. 30, 1959, at Chesaning Rest Home following an illness of two and one-half months. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Sept. 2, at 10 a.m. with Solemn Requiem High Mass. Celebrant was Rev. Julius J. Amman, Deacon was Rev.Henry Eickholt, Sub Deacon was Rev. Michael Wolfe, Master of Ceremonies was Rev. Lawrence Greiner,and minor officers of the Mass were major seminarians of St. Michael's Church in Maple Grove. The sermon was preached by Fr. E.L. Quaderer. Local Pastor, Rev. Fr. John F. Grinzinger performed the graveside ceremonies in Mt. Calvary. Morse Funeral Home handled the arrangements. She was born Dec. 22, 1881, in Germany and married Joseph Amman on April 3, 1902, in Albee. She lived 70 years in Saginaw county. She was a house wife and a member of Our Lady Church and its Altar Society, League of Catholic Women, and the Third Order of St. Dominic. Surviving are her husband; seven sons, Edward and Albert of Ferndale, Fr. Julius J. of Montague, Bernard of Pontiac, Brother Armand C.S.C. of Terre Haute, Ind. Paul of Maple Grove, Richard of Merrill, Wis; five daughters, Mrs. Edith Labick and Mrs. Rita Herman of Flint, Mrs. Cecilia Prieur of Maple Grove, Mrs. Helen Gentile of Burt, Mrs. Josephine Cosco of Whitesboro, N.Y.; 51 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 1 sister, Mrs. Mary Amman of Chesaning.
