FR. JULIUS J. AMMAN MAPLE GROVE, MICHIGAN Fr. Julius J. Amman, formerly of Maple Grove, passed away Sunday, May 28,1978 in Kalamazoo. He was 72 years old. Funeral services took place at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish on Tuesday, June 1. Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The body laid in rest at the Misiuk Morse Funeral Home. Those wishing made memorials to the Society of the Divine Word and the Brothers of the Congregation of Holy Cross. Fr. Amman was born in Maple Grove on August 14, 1905, the son of Joseph and Anna Amman, both deceased. He attended St. Michaels School, Maple Grove and St. Joseph Seminary, Grand Rapids. He was ordained April 21, 1935. Survivors are 5 brothers; Albert of Ferndale; Bernard of Lapeer; Brother Armand Amman, C.S.C. Paul of Maple Grove and Richard of Arizona. 5 sisters: Mrs. Edith Labick of Flint, Mrs. Elmer (Cecelia) Prieur of Maple Grove; Mrs. Max (Rita) Herman of Flint, Mrs. Frank (Helen) Gentile, Saginaw and Mrs. Joseph (Josephine) Cosco of New York; several nieces and nephews. One brother predeceased him.
