Mary Ellen Johnson, 74 of Tulsa, OK died at her home on Friday, December 23, 2011. She was born in Sand Ridge Township, Illinois on March 14, 1937 to Lafayette Gill and Muriel (Clark) Gill. Mrs. Johnson had been a resident of Tulsa since 1977 and worked as an Administrative Assistant for a construction company. She enjoyed interior decorating and was a collector of dolls, owls, and snowmen.
Those loving family members who survive and will cherish her memory are her husband, James Harry Johnson of the home in Tulsa, OK; daughter, Vicki Strain and her husband, Mark of Tulsa, OK; brother, Bud Gill and his wife, Mary Ann of Tennessee; sisters, Opal Johnson and Rosetta Camden both of Murphsboro, IL, Eileen Moake of Osage Beach, MO, and Ethel Davis of Tulsa, OK; granddaughter, Summer Osborn; great grandchildren, Miles and Nixon.
Visitation will be Monday, December 26, 2011 from 4-7 pm at Add'Vantage Funeral Service. Reverend Gary Howard will officiate at the funeral service 1 pm Tuesday at Lighthouse Church, 1541 W. 71st Street, Tulsa, OK. Pallbearers will be Ed Horton, Eddie Davis, Matt Horton, Billy Gill, Mick Gill, and Randy Gouyd. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Tulsa, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Gay Kelley's Add'Vantage Funeral Service.
