A former Rothsay resident, Charlie Max, 86, died Monday at St. Francis Hospital in Breckenridge. Services will be held Thursday, Feb. 19, at Breckenridge Lutheran Church, Rev. Eugene Floistad officiating. Burial will be in the Burau Cemetery in Foxhome.
He was born Sept. 18, 1894, to Carl and Louise (Reiman) Max in Akron Township, near Rothsay. He grew up and farmed the home farm until 1974, when he moved with his brothers and sisters to Breckenridge.
