Mabel was the daughter of Charles Clinton and Sarah Elizabeth Strader Bell. She was one of 14 children born of this union. She was born on Nov. 6, 1919 in Hayti, Mo and passed away at 11:41 on Nov. 6, 2003 at Provena United Samaritan Hospital in Danville. She was united in marriage on May 20, 1944 in Reno. NV to Samuel James Wilfong. They divorced but remained good friends.

Grandma Granny loved the outdoors. Her biggest joy was picking berries when they were in season and riding in her golf cart. She enjoyed playing bingo and rummy with her best friend Wilma Wilson. Granny was never the type to sit around, she loved nature and all the trees and flowers that God put on this earth.
She worked various jobs throughout her life but retired as a CNA.

Granny had three daughters. Dreama Dee Hassanzadeh of Danville, IL Lynn E. Hittlet of Ridge Farm, IL and Lory Denise Hackney ( David ) of RidgeFarm. IL. She was the proud grandmother of Vicki Hittlet of Georgetown, James Hittlet of Westville, Kim Paree, Stacy Conner of Ridgefarm, Michael Conner of Pennsylvania, Lucas Conner of Danville, Sarah Hassanzadeh of Georgetown and Mark Hassanzadeh of Charleston. She was blessed with 10 great grandchildren..Shayne Dietz of Urbana, Chase and Nathan Hughes of Ridgefarm, Alex Smith, Machaila Baldwin, and Ashlynn Conner of Ridgefarm, Kaylee Hughes of Westville, Heidi Paree, Ali Paree and Makenzie Paree of Ridgefarm. She is survived by three sisters, Mary Hart of Danville, Margaret Bell of Urbana, and Minnie Brown of Olney. She has one surviving brother Robert Bell of Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, 7 brothers and 2 sisters. Also preceding her were her two grandchildren, David Hassanzadeh in 1979 and Ashley Hackney in 1993.

Grandma Granny will be missed by all who loved her, especially her family.

As were her wishes, she was cremated with the one last wish to have her ashes spread in her favorite berry patch.
