Clarence ( Slim ) was the son of Charles and Elizabeth Strader Bell. He was one of 14 children. He married Monia Alicia Lemay on Dec. 25, 1937 and had one daughter Monia Louise. Monia Alica died of cancer on Feb. 15, 1961 and is buried in the Hayes Cemetery in Hildalgo, IL. After the death of Monia, Slim lived in Paris, IL and worked in the elevator there. He then married Mildred Wilfong Kunkle on January 6, 1962 and he and Mildred purchased a home in the country several miles north-east of Paris and stayed there until his retirement. They sold their home and purchased a trailor next door to Mildred's daughter Carolyn Kunkle Ehlenfeld in Ridgefarm. Slim died of an anyurism in Oct. of 1982. He is buried in Franklin Cemetery in Chrisman, IL. Mildred joined him there in 1989.
