Johnny Angel, 87, of 2600 Anchor Drive, Alexander died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003
Mr. Angel was born Nov 19 1916, in Cahutta County, Ga. and was a resident of Buncombe County most of his life. He retired from Burlington Industries where he worked as a weaver.Johnny was a vetrain of World War 11, serving in the Army. He was the son of the late Willard and Lina Parris Angel. Also preceding him in death was his son, Ralph Angel, a grandson, Ricky Overman.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita Mae Worley Angel, daughter Elizabeth Overman of Flora Home, Fla; sister, Wilma Hollifield and Christine Moore and brothers, Sam and Mack all of Buncombe County: four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with the Revs. Jennis Sluder and Carl Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery in Alexander.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
