Jay Angel
Service for Jay Ervin Angel, 56, of 43 Elk Mountain Road who died Tuesday, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in French Broad Baptist Church. The Revs. Howard Self, and J.R. Plemmons will officiate. Burial will be in French Broad Cemetery.
A Native of Yancy County and a Buncombe County resident most of his life. Angel was a veteran of World War 11. He was the son of Lina Parris Angel of Alexander and the late Willard Angel.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Eunice Williams Angel, a daughter Frances Gail Angel of Fletcher. Three stepdaughters, Linda Williams and Debra Higgins of Fletcher and Judy Owens of Asheville, six sisters, Dema Griffin of Alexander, Bertha Tipton of Woodfin, Christine Moore of Leicester , Wilma Hollifield of Candler and Lena Rupard of Old Fort; four brothers Homer and Mack Angel of Leicester and Johnny and Sam Angel of Alexander and four grandchildren.
The Family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at West Funeral Home, Weaverville and at other times will be at the home of Johnny Angel of Alexander.
The body will remain at the funeral home until placed in the church 30 minutes before the service
