Mrs. Emma J. Mummert

Hanover – Mrs. Emma J. Mummert, 85, Hanover RD 3, widow of Harry Mummert, died yesterday at 4 a.m. in Hanover General Hospital where she was admitted Wednesday.
A daughter of the late Oliver H. and Mary Ann Nace Sterner, she was a member of the Lutheran congregation of St. Paul's (Dub's) Union Church. Her husband died in 1934.
Surviving are: Eight children, Mrs. Russell Myers, Thomasville RD 1; Mrs. Lester Kopp, Hanover RD 3; Mrs. Clarence Renoll, Hanover RD 2; Ervin H. Mummert, 539 York Street; Ira M. Mummert, 64 Forry Avenue; John W. Mummert, 59 North George Street; Charles D. Mummert, 72 Forry Avenue, and Raymond D. Mummert, 722 ½ Broadway; 35 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren; one brother, Alvin C. Sterner, John Street, and two sisters, Mrs. Isaac Wherley, 110 Fair Avenue, and Mrs. Joanna Wherley, Spring Grove.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in St. Paul's (Dub's) Church. Rev. Russell T. Shilling, pastor of West Manheim Lutheran charge, and Rev. A. M. Hollinger, pastor emeritus, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements are in charge of Dennis Wetzel, Carlisle Street.
