Ervin H. Mummert

HANOVER – Ervin H. Mummert, 72, of 539 York St., died Thursday at 11:15 p.m. at York Hospital. His wife, Mrs. Gladys F. Ford Mummert, died March 30, 1971.
He retired in 1963 from the American Chain and Cable company, York.
A son of the late Harry and Emma Jane Sterner Mummert, he was a member of the Lutheran congregation at St. Paul’s (Dub’s) Union church, Hanover Republican club, Hanover Lodge 227, Loyal Order of Moose; Hanover Aerie 1406, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and Hanover Lodge 763, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.
Surviving are five children, Harold Mummert, Spring Grove; Mrs. Helen DePaula, Ellicott City, Md., Mrs. Ethel Raboin, 334 Frederick St.; Richard Mummert, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Russell Mummert, Taneytown, Md.; 11 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Edna Myers, Pine Springs, and Mrs. Romaine Renoll, Manchester, Md., and two brothers, John Mummert, George St., and Charles Mummert, Forry Ave.
The Rev. Dr. Paul Levi Foulk, vice pastor at St. Paul’s (Dub’s) Church, will officiate at funeral services Monday at 2 p.m. at the Wetzel Funeral Home, 549 Carlisle St. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
