Roy H. (Bud) Hartley, 62, former resident of Muncie, died Friday afternoon at a hospital in Minneapolis, Minn., following an illness of several months. A native of Delaware County, he was the son of the late Harley D. and Bertha Johnson Hartley. His father moved here from Oakville and founded the Eagle Foundry in Muncie. Mr. Hartley was a veteran of World War I. He had resided in Minneapolis since 1922 and was employed as a real estate salesman. Survivors include one son, Thomas, San Diego, Calif.; four brothers, Fred J., J. Ross, Phillip D., all of Muncie, and Joseph of Indianapolis; two sisters, Mrs. Holly Harvey of Muncie and Mrs. Eugene Nutting of Lewiston, N.Y., and several grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will be completed in Minneapolis.
