Mrs. Winnie H. Harvey, 73, Muncie artist and the widow of Holly B. Harvey, died Wednesday at her home, 138 Warwick Rd. She was born in Delaware County the daughter of Harley and Bertha Johnson Hartley, and was a 1908 graduate of Muncie High School. She later studied at the John Herron Art Institute, Indianapolis, in the art department at Ball State College, and with Jerry Fransworth in Sarasota, Fla.

She was a member of the Hazelwood Christian Church, Muncie Art Students League, Muncie Branch of the National League of American Pen Women, Altrusa Club, Delta Theta Tau sorority and was a director of the Muncie Art Association.

Mrs. Harvey is survived by a son, Dan; a sister, Mrs. Eugene Nutting, Niagara Falls, N.Y.; two brothers, J. Ross and Phillips D. Hartley, Muncie; and three grandchildren.

Friends may call at Meeks Mortuary from 2 to 5 and from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Hazelwood Christian Church with Rev. Robert G. Sulanke officiating. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery.
