Newton Daniel Renner, near New Midway, died at Frederick Memorial Hospital Saturday at 5:30 p.m. after an illness of one week of heart disease, aged 85 years, 3 months, 29 days. He was a son of the late Francis C. and Joanna Martz Renner. Mr. Renner spent most of his life in Washington, having moved to New Midway about a year ago. He was a retired painter and interior decorator. Surviving are his widow, the former Miss Carrie Murphy, and two sons, Col. Wilburt V. Renner, Del Monte, Calif., and Herbert G. Renner, Washington. Four grandchildren, three half-brothers, David C. Renner, Rocky Ridge; Jason C. Renner, New Midway, and Samuel M. Renner, Ladiesburg, and one half-sister, Mrs. Emma McClain, New Midway, also survive. The body will be at the funeral home at Woodsboro where friends may call after 6 o'clock this evening. Funeral Tuesday meeting at the funeral home at 1:30 o'clock with final rites at the Church of the Brethren Rocky Ridge at 2 o'clock. Elders Samuel R. Weybright and Arthure B. Rice will officiate. Interment in church cemetery. Powell and Hartzler, funeral directors.
