Beneficiaries Disclosed In Mrs. McClain Will
A number of person are beneficiaries in the will of Mrs. Emma Nora McClain, probated in the Orphans Court. Mrs. McClain died October 30. The will, dated July 8, 1958, was witnessed by Richard E. Zimmerman and Patricia H. Remus. A foster daughter, Carrie M. Castle was named as Executrix. Heirs were listed as the foster daughter, and two brothers, Jason C. Renner and Samuel M. Renner.
The deceased directs the following specific bequests: To Cora Eckenrode, $450, Frigidaire and round stand; John Richard Eckenrode, $200, spinning wheel, ten books, bed clothing, parlor suit; Jesse E. Eckenrod, $100, green rocking chair, 20 books; Lulu Main, parlor suite, $100, dishes; Mary Miller, serving table, 10 dishes, china closet; Emma Cutsail, big bureau, wash stand; Amanda Baugher, mother's rocker, mother's old time bureau; Jason C. Renner, brother, $300, melodian for life then the melodian to Cora Eckenrode; Samuel M. Renner, $200, book case, collection of minerals, settee; James I. Renner, nephew, $200, square stand in parlor, ten dishes, drop leaf table; Carrie M. Castle, $200, six-leg cherry table, corner cupboard, a bed, roller organ, 10 dishes, bed clothes; John E. Harbaugh, $200, deep freeze, 12 dishes, bedclothes.
The deceased directs in her bill that in case of disagreement over selections of specific items such as with choice of bed clothes and dishes that the executrix decide. She also directed that specific persons named may buy additional items not willed at an appraisal price; and the decisions of the executrix is final in distribution; also that all items not specifically bequeathed or selected be sold at public sale with the money to become part of the residue of the estate.
Of the residue she directs that James I. Renner be paid $200, John Harbaugh, $200 and the balance to be distributed to Carrie M. Castle, Samuel Renner and Calvin Renner, each to share alike.
