David C. Renner, retired Western Maryland Railway employee, died Monday noon at his home at Rocky Ridge of complications after an illness of nine weeks, aged 77 years, 11 months, one day. He was a son of the late Franics and Hannah A. Harshman Renner and was a member of the Rocky Ridge Church of the Brethren. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Effie E. Wood Renner; three sons, Charles and John A. Renner of Keymar; Roy J. Renner, at home. Two brothers, Samuel Renner, Ladiesburg; Calvin Renner and a sister, Mrs. Emma McClain, both of New Midway, also survive in addition to four grandchildren. The body is at the funera home in Thurmont where friends may call. Brief services there Thursday afternoon at 1 o'clock, followed by final rites at 1:30 o'clock (dst) at Rocky Ridge Church of the Brethren, conducted by Elders Arthur Rice and Samuel Weybright and Rev. Reese Poffinberger. Interment in Mt. Tabor Cemetery. M. L. Creager and Son, funeral directors.
