Lucille M. Burghoff
Meriden Lucille M. Burghoff, 75 of 11 Lydale Place, wife of the late Stuart Burghoff, died Monday, May 9, 1994 at the Hospital of St. Raphel in New Haven.
Born in Meriden on October 2, 1918, daughter of the late Leo and Margaret O'Brien McDermott, she had been a lifelong resident of Meriden and was educated in Meriden schools. Mrs. Burghoff was employed by New Departure-Hyatt Bearing Division of General Motors. She was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church.
Mrs. Burghoff is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Michael J. and Phyliss Hart of Leesburg, VA; a grandson Micheal J. Hart III; a step grandson James Stafford of Bedford, CA; two sisters, Geraldine Clark of Rocky Hill, and Madeline McDermott of Meriden, a brother Thomas McDermott of Meriden. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held on Thursday at 10:15 a.m. from John J. Ferry and Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main Street, and at 11 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church for a blessing. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 5 to 8 p.m.. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to St. Rose of Lima Church, 35 Center, Street, Meriden, CT 06450
