Madeline was born in Meriden on July 14, 1916, the beloved daughter of the late Leo P. and Margaret (O'Brien) McDermott. She was educated in the Meriden schools and was employed by New Departure - Hyatt Bearing for 31 years, retiring in 1980.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Margaret Fogg, Geraldine Clark, Leona Nolan, Lucille Burghoff; and two brothers, Thomas and Norman McDermott. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends and relatives are invited to a Mass of Christian burial to be held on Monday, July 30 at 9:30 a.m. at St Rose of Lima Church. Burial will be in at Sacred Heart Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. John J. Ferry & Sons, 88 East Main St., Meriden, is in charge of arrangements. www.jferryfh.com
