LEO P. MCDERMOTT
Leo P. McDermott, of 565 North Colony Street, died last evening at the Meriden Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Jersey City, NJ, he came to this city 45 years ago where he had since made his home. He was employed at International Silver Company. Factory E having retired six years ago. He was a parishioner of St. Rose Church and a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernation.
Mr. McDermott leaves daughters; Miss Madeline McDermott, Mrs. Francis Fogg, Mrs. James F. Nolan, Mrs. James Stewart, all of Meriden and Mrs. George B. Clark of Rocky Hill, two sons, Thomas R McDermott of this city, and one sister Mrs. Robert Gallagher of New Haven, one brother Stephen McDermott of this city, nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will take place on Friday at 8:15 a.m. from the funeral home of John J. Ferry and Sons, 88 East Main Street and at 9 a.m. St. Rose Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Leo P. McDermott of 565 North Colony street, died last evening at the Meriden Hospital, after a brief illness.
Born in Jersey City, NJ, he came to this city 45 years ago where he has since made his home. He was employed at the International Silver Company, Factory E., having retired six years ago. He was a parishioner of St. Rose Church and a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians.
Mr. McDermott leaves five daughters, Miss Madeline McDermott, Mrs. Francis Fogg, Mrs. James F. Nolan, Mrs. James Stewart, all of Meriden and Mrs. George B. Clark of Rocky Hill, two sons, Thomas R. McDermott and Norman A. McDermott of this city, one sister, Mrs. Robert Gallagher of New Haven; one brother, Stephen McDermott of this city; nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral of Leo P. McDermott, of 565 North Colony Street, was held today at 8:15 a.m. from the funeral home of John J. Ferry and Sons, and at 9 o'clock in St. Rose Church.
The Rev. John F. Tehan was celebrant of the solemn requiem high mass, assisted by the Rev. Robert E. Sanders and the Rev. John D. Casey, Rt. Rev. Msgr. Joseph M. Griffin and Rev. Neil P. Fitzgerald were present in the sanctuary. Father Sanders assisted by Father Fitzgerald, officiated at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
The pallbearers were Kenneth W. Fogg, George B. Clark Jr., Thomas M. McDermott Jr. Joseph L. McDermott, Michaels J. Hart and James M. Nolan, all grandsons of the deceased.
